Good vibes coming your way!
Since we’re all (hopefully) stuck inside from this crazy storm, how about a little Finn reading to brighten your grey skies?
Finn has been working on sound and touch sensitivity, leave it, recall with distractions, maintaining a down stay with distractions, maneuvering around as the handler requires such as out of the way in a busy aisle or at a register or in tight quarters, sitting politely while being pet by strangers, maintaining a down stay while children play close, glass elevators and stairs, and maintaining appropriate behavior as the handler walks through the various stores in a mall. Training locations have included Downtown Summerlin, Target, Panda Express, Hobby Lobby, and Michael's Craft Store.
Next week, Finn will be working on maintaining a down stay for extended periods of time using a dog bed as a boundary, leave it with food items, appropriate behavior while an unfamiliar dog is near, sound and touch sensitivity, recall with distractions, maintaining a down stay with objects moving around him and appropriate restaurant behavior.
Don’t forget to join us on Sunday at Flapjacks for Finn to help us bring this boy home!
